Venice Biennale
Venice Biennale, the oldest and most prestigious cultural institution in the world! This international exhibition, hosted annually by the Biennale Foundation in Venice, Italy, has been promoting new artistic trends and organizing international events in contemporary arts for over a century.

The main exhibition, held in the halls of the Arsenale and Biennale Gardens, alternates between art and architecture, hence the name "biennale" meaning biennial. But that's not all! The Foundation also hosts events in theatre, music, and dance in various parts of Venice throughout the year. And let's not forget about the Venice Film Festival, which takes place at the Lido.
The Biennale is famous for its International Art Exhibition, International Architecture Exhibition, and International Film Festival, among other events. It continues to be a center of attraction not only during the major exhibitions but also for artistic production in every sector, throughout the year. Its visibility is high in all media, and it has numerous publishing initiatives in the same sectors.

But the Biennale isn't just a one-time event. Through the ASAC, Historic Archives of Contemporary Arts, it conserves the documentation of its history. Its venues, which receive a vast international public, are not owned by the Foundation but are made available by law by the Venice City Council, the Italian Navy, and the Inland Revenue.
The challenge of the new Foundation lies in reviving the potential of the Biennale and its unique nature as a center of attraction. Private partners are being sought to set up a permanent 'home,' its own venue, which reinforces and establishes the identity of the Biennale. It can become a permanent exhibition center, a laboratory of culture, the arts, and ideas that reach the whole world from Venice.

So, come join us at the Venice Biennale and experience the magic of contemporary arts and culture in one of the most beautiful cities in the world!

Palio di Siena
The world-renowned Palio di Siena – this is not just any race. It's a passion that flows through the veins of every Sienese. The Palio is a must-see event that takes place on July 2 and August 16 every year, where the 17 Contrade of Siena compete against each other in a horse race in the heart of the city's famous Piazza del Campo.

As you wander through the streets of Siena, you'll notice that each Contrada has its own unique emblem and colors that represent their area of the city. The pride and loyalty that the people of each Contrada have is palpable, and the excitement leading up to the Palio is contagious.
This ancient tradition dates back to the 6th century and has become a central part of Sienese life. The people of Siena participate in the life of their Contrada and the organization of the Palio throughout the entire year. And when the big day finally arrives, the passion and energy that the Sienese bring to the event is truly awe-inspiring.
The Palio is a complex event, and only 10 out of the 17 Contrade take part in each race. Seven Contrade that did not participate in the previous race will run in the next one, while the remaining three are drawn at random. The prize is the coveted Drappellone, a large painted silk canvas created by a different artist each year. The winning Contrada proudly displays the canvas in its museum during district celebrations.

If you're planning to attend the Palio, remember to bring sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water as access to the Piazza del Campo is free for everyone, and once the piazza is closed, you cannot exit. The earlier you arrive, the better your chances of finding a spot, as the Piazza del Campo fills up quickly. For a more comfortable experience, try watching the Palio from the wooden tribunes or from the houses around the square.

And if you're looking for tickets, be sure to ask around at the local shops in the center.

The Palio di Siena is not just a race, it's a celebration of history, tradition, and community. Come witness the passion and excitement for yourself and become a part of this legendary event!

The Carnival of Venice, also known as Carnevale di Venezia, draws millions of visitors to the Italian city of Venice. The festival is famous for its stunning and elaborate masks, street parties, carnival parades, balls, and private parties that fill the city with color, music, and joy.
Historians suggest that the Carnival of Venice was started after the victory of the Venetian Republic over the Patriarch of Aquileia in 1162. To celebrate the victory, the people of Venice danced and gathered in St. Mark's Square. During the rule of the Holy Roman Emperor Francis II, the Carnival of Venice was banned, and wearing masks became forbidden for the general population in 1797.

However, after more than 180 years, the Carnival of Venice returned in 1979 and has since been a must-attend event, attracting three million visitors annually.

The Carnival of Venice is truly a spectacle of colors, sounds, and traditions. With its unique blend of history, art, and culture, it's no wonder why millions of people from all over the world flock to Venice every year to experience the magic of the Carnival.
